Embark on a complete Nordic adventure in La Giettaz, in the heart of the Aravis mountain range, about an hour from Annecy. This 25-minute dog sled ride stands out for its immersive approach, beginning with a 20-minute briefing with the musher to meet the dogs, understand how the sled team works, and prepare for the experience in the best possible conditions.
Then comes the long-awaited moment: 25 minutes of sledding through the snowy landscapes of the Aravis. The setting of La Giettaz, between alpine forests and snow-covered peaks, offers a truly magical backdrop.

This sled ride is offered every day outside of school holidays. During school holidays, the activity is available only on weekends. We recommend booking in advance to secure your time slot.
Snow, cold, fog, and snowfall are normal winter conditions, and the activity is maintained in these circumstances. Please ensure you have a properly equipped vehicle (winter tires and/or snow chains are mandatory) to reach La Giettaz in the Aravis mountains. No cancellations will be accepted due to standard weather conditions.

FAQ
What should I wear for the sled ride?
Bring a full ski outfit: waterproof jacket or suit, ski pants, thermal base layers, warm ski gloves, a hat, and a neck warmer. This way, you won’t feel cold during the ride.
Is the activity still held in case of snow or bad weather ?
Yes! Snow, snowfall, cold, and fog are completely normal winter conditions. The activity is not cancelled for these reasons. In case of genuinely dangerous conditions (such as a storm), you will be contacted. Please ensure your vehicle is properly equipped, plan your journey calmly, and fully enjoy the experience.
How many people can ride in the same sled ?
The sled can accommodate a minimum of 2 people from the same group, within a total weight limit of 200 kg. The price is calculated per person. If your group is larger, several time slots will need to be arranged depending on our availability. Please remember to specify the number of participants when booking.
From what age can you go on a sled ride in La Giettaz ?
The sled ride in La Giettaz is available from the age of 3. This experience is designed for adults and older children who are comfortable outdoors and around dogs. No particular physical condition is required: you simply need to be mobile and able to sit down and stand up independently.
