Do participants need mountain experience ?
Not at all. Snowshoeing is easy to pick up and none of the challenges require any specific technical skills. Takamaka provides all equipment and their mountain guides oversee every station to ensure the safety and enjoyment of all participants throughout the day.
Where does the Snow Challenge take place near Annecy ?
The activity is held in natural snow-covered sites in the mountain massifs surrounding Annecy — alpine forests, snow-covered plateaus and postcard-worthy scenery. Takamaka selects the best location based on snow conditions and your group size.
How long does the event last ?
The Snow Challenge typically runs over a half-day (approximately 2 to 3 hours). It fits beautifully into a full winter seminar day — perfectly complemented by a Tipi evening or a traditional Savoyard fondue dinner to round off the experience.
Is all equipment provided ?
Yes! All equipment required for the challenges are provided by Takamaka. Mountain guides are present throughout the event to ensure facilitation, safety and the smooth running of every station.
What should participants wear ?
Warm, waterproof clothing is strongly recommended: a ski jacket or winter coat, gloves, a hat and waterproof boots. Takamaka will send full clothing guidance ahead of the event based on the forecast conditions.
Is the Snow Challenge suitable for large groups ?
Absolutely. The rotating station format allows the activity to welcome groups of all sizes, from small teams to large seminars of several hundred people. Get in touch for a personalised quote tailored to your group.
