Do participants need to be experienced hikers ?
Not at all ! The Gourmet Mountain Hike is designed to be accessible to all fitness levels, including those with little experience of mountain walking. The pace is adapted to the group, itineraries are chosen based on participants' abilities and Takamaka's guides ensure everyone enjoys the experience fully.
Is the activity available in summer and winter ?
Yes ! In winter or summer, come and discover the sumptuous landscapes around Annecy. In winter the hike is done on snowshoes; in summer, standard walking shoes are all that's needed. Both versions are equally magical and memorable.
Are snowshoes provided ?
Yes ! All equipment — snowshoes and poles — is provided by Takamaka for the winter version. Participants simply need waterproof boots and warm, weather-appropriate mountain clothing.
Can the hike be done at night ?
By night with head torches or during the day — both options are available! The nocturnal winter version is particularly magical — the head torches, the silence of the snow-covered forest and the Alpine starry sky create a truly unforgettable atmosphere.
Is the tasting included in the price ?
Yes ! The tasting break with Savoyard charcuterie and cheeses is included in the base package. The Génépi-making option is available as an add-on and should be requested at the time of booking.
Which mountain massifs does the hike cover ?
The hike can take place around Annecy, in the Aravis or in the Bauges massif. Takamaka selects the most appropriate site based on the season, weather conditions and the group's level.
How many participants can take part ?
