You choose your craft in advance — kayak or paddleboard — and form your travel pairs, which can be swapped around throughout the session.

Takamaka offers three departure points depending on your preferences and accommodation: Menthon-Saint-Bernard, Doussard and Sévrier. Each site offers its own distinct atmosphere and landscapes. Our team will advise you on the best departure point based on your group size, programme and weather conditions on the day.
Do you need experience in kayaking or paddleboarding ?
Not at all! Both activities are accessible to complete beginners. A full technical briefing is provided before departure to cover the basics of paddling and balance. Takamaka's guides accompany participants throughout to ensure the safety and enjoyment of everyone on the water.
Can you switch between kayak and paddleboard ?
Yes ! Travel pairs are interchangeable throughout the session — you can start on a kayak and finish on a paddleboard, or vice versa. Total freedom is one of this activity's greatest strengths.
Is all equipment provided ?
Yes ! Takamaka provides everything: kayaks, paddleboards, paddles, life jackets and all safety equipment. All you need to bring is your enthusiasm and your appetite for the great outdoors !
What should participants wear ?
Comfortable clothing that can get slightly wet is recommended, along with water-friendly footwear. In summer, don't forget sun cream and sunglasses — the sunlight reflecting off the lake can be surprisingly intense !
