The 45-minute initiation is a short, focused session — perfect for discovering ski joering without committing to a full half-day. The half-day formula (9am–12pm) offers more practice time (around 1 hour) and a more comprehensive programme with more time spent with the horses. For a first taste of the discipline, 45 minutes is ideal.

You only need to be able to ski a blue run to take part. No expert skiing required — the key is feeling comfortable on skis and maintaining basic balance. No horse experience needed either: your instructor guides you every step of the way with the animals.

Yes, all necessary equipment is included in the price: ski boots, skis and the horse or pony. Just bring your own ski outfit (gloves and hat are essential) and a pair of sunglasses.

The actual practice time is 45 minutes over 2 km of groomed trails. Add the welcome, gearing up, meeting the horses on the ring and the briefing — allow approximately 1h30 in total for the full experience.

The activity takes place at La Féclaz on the Grand Revard plateau in the Bauges massif, Savoie. Transport is not included. La Féclaz is about 40 minutes by car from Annecy. Snow tyres or chains are mandatory in winter.

Participants must be mobile, able to sit and stand independently, and in good general physical condition. The activity is not recommended for pregnant women. If in doubt about your fitness, consult your doctor before booking.

It is essential to arrive 15 minutes before the stated start time. Any late arrival results in the loss of the booking without refund — sessions are timed and the horses' schedule cannot accommodate delays. Plan your journey well in advance, especially in winter driving conditions.
