To participate in this activity, you must be mobile (able to sit down and stand up on your own) and not be pregnant.
Snow, snowfall, snow on the roads, cold weather, fog, and clouds are normal winter weather conditions.
Your vehicle must be equipped with snow tires and/or snow chains, as no absences or late arrivals will be accepted.

At what age can my child go on a sleigh ride?
The dog sled ride is available for children ages 3 and up. Each child must be accompanied by an adult in the sled, in addition to the musher, who will be on board to ensure the activity is conducted safely.
How long does the activity last in total ?
The entire experience lasts about 45 minutes: a 20-minute briefing and introduction to the dogs, followed by a 25-minute dog sled ride through the snow-covered landscapes of La Giettaz.
Can parents ride on the sled with their child ?
Children must be accompanied by an adult; the sled can accommodate several people, up to a maximum weight of 200 kg. A parent may therefore ride with their child to enjoy the experience together. Please note that the price is per person and that a minimum of two people is required per sled.
Does the activity take place regardless of the weather ?
Snow, cold weather, fog, and snowfall are normal winter conditions and do not constitute grounds for cancellation. However, in the event of exceptionally hazardous conditions, Takamaka reserves the right to cancel the outing. We cannot accommodate late arrivals or no-shows, so please leave early and ensure your vehicle is equipped with snow chains or snow tires.
Where is the starting point for the walk ?
The hike takes place in La Giettaz, in the Aravis Mountains (Savoie), near La Clusaz—about a 30-minute drive away. Transportation to the starting point is not included, so you’ll need to drive there in your own vehicle, which must be equipped for winter mountain conditions.
