🗺️ Organisation & How it works
On arrival, discover the dogs and spend a few moments with them! This first encounter with the huskies is often the most emotionally moving moment of the entire day — their boundless energy, piercing blue eyes and irresistibly joyful nature put everyone instantly at ease. An authentic animal encounter that leaves a mark before the sledding has even begun !
📋 Step 2 — The Musher's Briefing
Following a full briefing, participants set off for 30 minutes of discovery by sled! The musher — a genuine enthusiast deeply passionate about Nordic dogs — shares his knowledge, his love for his animals and the fundamentals of this ancestral art. A human and educational introduction that gives the experience a unique cultural and emotional depth.

FAQ
Do participants need experience with dogs to take part ?
Not at all ! The passionate musher accompanies every group and shares his expertise with warmth and enthusiasm. The huskies are dogs accustomed to human contact — affectionate and perfectly trained. The encounter happens naturally, joyfully and with complete ease.
How many people per sled ?
The ride is done in pairs — two people per sled, one seated at the front and one standing at the back. This configuration fosters complicity and sharing between colleagues in an intimate and memorable setting.
How many participants can ride at the same time ?
6 to 8 people can go at a time. For larger groups, Takamaka organises smooth rotations and offers complementary activities during waiting time — ensuring every participant enjoys a rich and complete experience from start to finish.
How long does the dog sledding ride last ?
Each rotation includes 30 minutes of sledding, plus the time for meeting the dogs, the musher's briefing and the complementary activities between rotations. Allow a half-day for the entire group to fully enjoy the experience.
What should participants wear ?
Warm, waterproof clothing is essential — a ski suit or winter coat, gloves, hat and waterproof boots. The altitude and the speed of the sled can accentuate the feeling of cold. Takamaka provides detailed clothing guidance before the event.
How do we book our Annecy Dog Sledding experience ?
Simply contact the Takamaka team by phone or via the online contact form. They organise everything — the Margeriaz site, the musher, rotations, complementary activities and the full day programme — for a fully turnkey and absolutely unforgettable winter incentive.
