How the activity works
🗺️ Organisation & How it works
In teams of adventurers, armed with a map, participants make their way to different activity stations in the form of an orienteering race. Each team chooses its own route, optimises its course and attempts to reach as many stations as possible within the allotted time — map-reading skills and collective strategy are absolutely essential !
🏆 The Objective: Collect as Many Points as Possible!
Combine skill, strategy, precision and speed to be the best team in the challenge! Every station conquered earns precious points. The diversity of challenges ensures that every profile — sporty, strategic, creative or competitive — can shine and bring real value to their team.
🎖️ The Prize-Giving — The Adventure's Grand Finale!
At the end of the challenges, an official team ranking is established and an original prize-giving ceremony closes out this adventure challenge in style! A moment of collective celebration, laughter and shared pride in having risen to the challenge together.

FAQ
Who is the Grande Jeanne Challenge designed for ?
Everyone ! Seasoned athletes, complete beginners or simply nature lovers — the challenges are designed to be accessible to all profiles and all fitness levels. The emphasis is firmly on the complementarity of talents within each team rather than individual athletic performance.
Do you need to be good at orienteering to take part ?
Not at all ! The orienteering race provides the framework for the challenge but remains accessible to everyone. A clear map is given to each team and the stations are marked in a way that keeps navigation intuitive and fun, even for first-timers.
How long does the activity last ?
The Grande Jeanne Challenge runs over a half-day (approximately 2h30 to 3 hours, including briefing and prize-giving). It fits seamlessly into a full seminar day or can stand alone as a wonderful outdoor team building experience in its own right.
Where is the Grande Jeanne natural park ?
The Grande Jeanne natural park is located above Annecy, easily accessible from the city centre. This preserved natural site offers a lush and wild setting, away from the urban hustle — the perfect place for teams to reconnect with nature and with each other.
Is all equipment provided ?
Yes ! All equipment needed for the challenges is provided and set up by the Takamaka team — orienteering maps, station equipment and game materials. Professional facilitators supervise every station to ensure safety and enjoyment throughout.
What should participants wear ?
Closed-toe walking or sports shoes are strongly recommended for comfortable movement across natural terrain. Weather-appropriate clothing (windproof jacket, layerable pieces) is advised — Takamaka will share detailed clothing guidance ahead of your event.
How many participants can take part ?
The activity scales to all group sizes. The autonomous team format with individual maps allows both small groups and large corporate seminars to participate simultaneously. Contact Takamaka for a personalised quote based on your headcount.
