FAQ
Do I need prior mountain biking experience?
Some prior experience on a bike or mountain bike over varied terrain is recommended to get the most out of the ride. Participants should be comfortable on a bike and able to ride out of the saddle. This activity is not suitable for complete beginners.
Does the electric assist make it easy?
The electric assist makes climbs much more manageable and opens up terrain that would otherwise be exhausting, but good physical fitness is still essential. The descents are technical and require commitment and focus. E-MTB is a real sport!
How long does the ride last?
The outing lasts between 2h30 and 3h depending on the group's pace and level. This includes the welcome, technical briefing, the enduro ride itself, and the return to the starting point.
What gear is provided and what should I bring?
Takamaka provides the e-MTB, helmet, gloves, and knee and elbow pads. On your side, bring sportswear (long-sleeved top recommended, shorts, trainers), a backpack with water and snacks (energy bars, fruit pouches, sugar…).
Is there a minimum height or fitness requirement?
Yes, the minimum height is 1m50. Good physical fitness is essential. Participants must be able to ride out of the saddle and comfortable with technical descents.
What happens if the weather is bad?
Participant safety is our priority. If weather conditions are unfavourable (rain, slippery terrain, storms), Takamaka reserves the right to adapt the route or cancel the outing. A reschedule or refund will be offered in that case.
Can we book as a group?
Absolutely — it's a great activity with friends or as a small group! For larger groups (stag/hen dos, team-building events, associations), contact us directly so we can organise a tailored outing to fit your needs.
