The chalet-hôtel "Le Vermont" located in the heart of the Aravis mountain range, welcomes you in an authentic and dynamic place. During the winter season, you will love the ski areas of Chinaillon and the Grand-Bornand. If you wish, you have the opportunity to discover beautiful winter localities by snowshoe. During the summer, you can make countless walks and pedestrian hikes. From a 150m distance of the village and the shops and a 100m from the ski lifts, the hotel is perfectly located.
After a good day of sport and discovery, we offer you many ways to relax : our indoor and heaten swimming pool, a fitness room, a sauna and a jacuzzi are at your disposal to offer you all the comfort you need. The excellent restaurant "l'Auberge du Pré Vieux" and the hotel bar with its terrace will be happy to welcome you. To make your stay even more enjoyable, there are many facilities like free Wi-Fi, a private car park, a closed and secured ski place for your equipment and a ski rental shop situated on the floor level of the hotel.

LA BORNANDINE, an exceptional evening at LE GRAND BORNAND
A snowshoe hike, a diner and an evening in a chalet in the mountains at the foot of The Maroly followed by a sledge descent to the village.
You will leave with your snowshoes on from the col de la Colombière for about 15 minutes walk in a wild environment, we will cross the hamlets in the middle of old traditional chalets of the Aravis mountain range. We will arrive at the foot of the Maroly site for the famous fondue or tartiflette of the Grand BO. Experience a crazy night in the chalet to the incredible songs of Christophe, The King of the parties above!
After the traditional liqueur it's time to return to the village, how??? : SLEDGING of course !

The Grand Bornand ski resort is located in the heart of the Aravis mountain range. This mountain village has kept its old charm, its centenary old chalets stand proudly in the streets, their roofs covered with shingle hold the heavy snow during winter. The Grand Bornand is situated 40 minutes from Annecy and its beautiful lake and 2 hours from Lyon. You can come by train from the major cities in France to Annecy. A bus will then bring you to the station. The station is connected to La Clusaz by a bus during winter.
During winter heavy snow generally covers the slopes of the ski resort from December to mid-April. The resort offers 29 lifts that will carry you to the natural sites of beauty, the summit of Lachat with its breathtaking views of the Mont Blanc, Le col des ânes with its small hamlets hanging on the hill... the area is ideal for beginner skiers, lots of green and blue pistes enable you to connect the ski area on both sides. For good skiers, you'll have a large choice, the black piste of Lachat with its strong north-facing slope is steep. the Freeride space will delight off-piste descent lovers on the Grand Bornand under the arches. This area with few avalanche risks is a magnificient and unreal off-piste area to join the Grand Bornand summit of Lachat. If you are not experienced in the practice of off-piste, do not hesitate to call a professional guide or instructor. Think of your safety avalanche transceiver equipment, shovel probe, never go alone and keep yourself informed beforehand with the ski patrollers.
For the country skiers, heaven is yours. Go to the Colombiere from Chinaillon towards the southern slopes of Jalouvre or the northern slopes towards the Marol. The virgin snow awaits you and maybe you will see chamois and the bearded vulture nesting in rock towers.
For snowshoers and cross country skiers, the Bouchet Valley or the southern slopes of Chinaillon above the old town are made for you. At The Grand BO and Chinaillon winter is made for the whole family from the youngest, to the high-level athlete including mountain lover grandparents.
A minibus is available for the whole weekend.
